Search Account Executive

Salary: up to $85k base and $77k in commission (uncapped)

TheSearch Account Executive is responsible for generating new search customers via new prospects or client’s existing customers.
This person will work predominantly with inside sales and Account Executives to develop qualified leads of new potential Search customers. As an outside sales position, this role requires deep expertise in search marketing and an established background with
high-level, consultative sales to Fortune 1000 companies. This role is similar to what we call " Search Sales Specialist" today.

Specific responsibilities / requirements include:

1.  Quota carrying sales with new prospects and clients not using Search.
2.  Acting as a product specialist and search marketing expert to support Account Executives and Account Directors who assume the lead in the sales process.
3.  Working with prospects from a detailed needs assessment, to presentation and solution development, to pricing and negotiation of final deals.
4.  A proven ability to work in team-based sales environments where multiple skill sets are required from the vendor and complex, multi-decision processes exist on the client side.
5.  Work closely with Inside Sales to develop qualified leads and move prospects into the 30% + side of the pipeline.
6.  Be an expert on search engine marketing, marketing uses of search, competitive landscape and key players/personalities in the field.
7.  A consultative, solutions-based approach to selling.

Ideal background: A current senior sales executive or director at a large SEM or agency. Proven track record to generate sales. Connections / network in industry, including strong rolodex of potential prospects. Ambitious, driven and disciplined. Strong interpersonal skills and presentation abilities. Potential to grow in team lead and more senior role.
